Для занятий используется стандартное оборудование тренажерного зала: блоки для йоги, коврик для йоги, гантели, pull-up/chin-up бар, пуш-ап ручки, перчатки и стул.
Программа P90X состоит из циклов, продолжительностью 13 недель, которые нужно выполнять шесть дней в неделю. Программа состоит из трех типов, под названием "Классический", "легкий" и "doubles", которые человек выбирает в соответствии со своими личными целями.
